SALT is the largest store in Åland and features craftsmanship, artisanal food, and design exclusively from Åland. The red crafts house SALT is located at the quayside in the Maritime Quarter of Mariehamn, open year-round. Here, six artisans have workshops and sell their products in an inspiring community. In addition to beautiful items from potter Siv Linney and textile designers Ann Granlund, Gunilla von Nandelstadh, Ilse Berg, Marie Lundgren and Anna Nilsson, the shop is filled with handmade items and award-winning craft food by select artisans and food creators from Åland. This means indulgence in beautiful and creative craftsmanship – from textiles, silver, ceramics and glass to wood, wrought iron, apple must, and chocolate.
The local food craftsmanship continues to thrive, and this year, SALT is expanding its range.
